The action was fast and furious as teams from around Colorado competed in the Western Colorado Community College ProStart West Slope Culinary Competition.
Teams of five worked against the clock and other teams to prepare a full three course meal.
Each team had one hour to finish and are judged on teamwork, cleanliness, presentation, and of course, flavor.
WCCC Head Chef Dan Kirby said, "Lots of chef's out there with knives and hot pans, all at the same time, but that's part of the teamwork skills, it's a dance in a busy kitchen."
All the teams who competed in the competition will travel to Denver in three weeks to compete for top honors in Colorado with a chance to represent their state in Orland for the national competition.
