A teenager is facing some serious charges. Officials say he stabbed two people and eluded authorities for ten hours.
Victor Guzman, 16, was arrested at 11:00 a.m. Saturday on charges of first and second degree assault.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was able to call Guzman and convince him to come to the Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say Guzman stabbed a man and a woman in the 2900 block of Cris-Mar Drive at about 1:00 a.m.
The man was treated and released from the hospital. The woman remains at St. Mary’s. A cousin of the woman tells 11 News she is in critical condition and she doesn't think Guzman's charges are severe enough.
Guzman is being held at the Mesa County Jail. His bond has not been set. The investigation is ongoing.
