Father and Two Kids Killed In Crash, Wife & Daughters Seriously Injured

A deadly crash along Interstate-70 takes the life of a father and two of his children.

The fatal accident happened at just before 6:00 a.m. near mile marker 331.

According to Colorado State Patrol, the father was driving his family of six when for some reason he rear–ended a white pick–up being towed by another truck. The van then spun out and was hit by tractor trailer going the opposite direction.

The man, his 13 –year–old son and 18–year–old daughter were pronounced dead on scene. The man's wife and twin 15–year–old girls were airlifted to Denver area hospitals with serious injuries. No one else was injured.

The investigation is ongoing but officials say no one in the family was wearing a seatbelt.

The family is from Wichita Kansas.
