Local developer Reed Mitchell unveiled his vision for a local event arena yesterday.
Ice hockey, arena football, rodeos, monster truck events, and concerts are some of the things that could take place within the 141 thousand square foot facility.
Right now organizers are looking at the Jarvis property near the new Riverside Parkway in lower downtown Grand Junction.
The 66 acre parcel is city owned.
"It's the next step in the growth of our community. Grand Junction is not a little bitty town anymore. It's a mid size city and middle sized city's need stuff like this.” says Mitchell.
Once given the green light and ground is broken, construction would take up to two years.
