Death of Peterson's 3rd Wife is Ruled Homicide

Chicago (AP) The death of the third wife of a one-time suburban Chicago police officer is now classified as a homicide.

Kathleen Savio's body was exhumed after the mysterious disappearance of Drew Peterson's fourth wife, and a second autopsy shows she drowned. The exhumation was ordered after Peterson was
named a person of interest in Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.

Savio was found dead in her bathtub four years ago, not long after she and Peterson were divorced. Authorities had ruled the death an accident.

Peterson has denied any involvement in either case. He claims Stacy Peterson has run off with another man. But her relatives say there's no way she would have willingly left her children.

Peterson says he's shocked by the ruling that Savio was murdered, calling it ``unbelievable.''

Peterson's first two marriages ended in divorce.
