Don’t say goodbye to “The Goodbye Girl” yet.
A fund to help support The Cabaret has been created at Grand Valley National Bank.
On Thursday, the State of Colorado had seized the popular dinner theater for back tax violations.
“"With the debt that we had been left with after the round–about construction plus January's low attendance it put us in a temporary hole,” says owner Kirk McConnell. As news spread of the Cabaret’s difficulties, people began to call and offer their support.
“People would call and tell us that they loved what we do and they wanted to help,” Says McConnell. McConnell is optimistic that the theater can be reopened as early as this weekend.
If you’d like to support the cabaret, donations can be made at any local Grand Valley National Bank by making a deposit into The Cabaret Community Support Fund.
