In a nationwide attempt to battle the overpopulation of dogs and cats, a local clinic is taking part in Spay Day USA.

Planned Pethood Plus held a clinic from 10-2. Cats and dogs were able to get spayed or neutered for a low cost. Pets were also able to get vaccinations.

The clinic planned on spaying more than 50 dogs and cats. Planned Pethood Plus says its doors will be open to walk-ins through the end of this week.
