Grand Junction City Street Crews are gearing up for what may be a record pot hole season and say they are in for a bumpy ride this Spring.
City crews say they get about three to four calls a day from motorists reporting pot holes and they are working as fast as they can to patch them. Doug Cline with the city says as the weather turns from cold to warm and back to cold it makes the pot holes grow and the number of them multiple. Cline says right now workers can only temporarily fix the pot holes because they have to wait until Spring to use a hot mix asphalt which will permanently repair the holes.
While a rough road lies ahead for the city, there is something you can do to help. Officials say call them and report every pot hole you see. The number to call is 244-1575.
