By  |

Lawmakers will look for answers in the midst of the nation's largest beef recall.

A senate appropriations subcommittee will be holding a hearing today on the recall of 143–million of pounds of Hallmark– Westland meat.

Undercover video from the humane society showing sick cows going to slaughter and entering the human food chain prompted the recall.

Senators will hear from the Secretary Of Agriculture, the Humane Society, and the American Meat Institute Foundation.
