The first of four Comprehensive Plan meetings kicked off tonight at Fellowship Church.
Groups were put together and they distributed growth on maps where they think it would fit best. The maps will be collected and studied so they city can get a better idea of what residents want to see as the future of Grand Junction. The city even invited county officials to take part in the workshop.
A meeting to discuss growth in Orchard Mesa will take place tomorrow at the Mesa County Fairgrounds from 4:30 to 6:30. Additional meetings will be held at the end of March to summarize the results of the first two meetings. Those are scheduled for March 25 at Fellowship Church and March 26 at the Mesa County Fairgrounds Building.
