Space Shuttle Endeavor Lifts Off

Space Shuttle Endeavour lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center earlier this morning.

"5...4..3..2..1... Blast off"

It was a spectacular sight as the main engines fired and the ship rose above the tower and soared into the night sky.

Space Shuttle Endeavour with its crew of seven is headed to the international space station on a 16–day mission.

Astronauts plan on five space walks during their stay at the ISS.

Endeavour is carrying a japanese built compartment and a canadian made robot designed for use outside the space station.
