Police Launch Probe into Alleged Johnstown School Hazing

Johnstown, Colo. (AP) Police have launched an investigation into a hazing incident where Roosevelt High School baseball players allegedly held down younger classmates and rubbed their genitals in their faces.

Six students last week were suspended for five days, RE-5J superintendent Martin Foster told Denver television station KUSA-TV. He declined to elaborate.

Jenn Baucum told the station that her son was one of five freshman held down by the older boys. She said if such a thing were done to girls it would be considered an act of molestation.

The alleged hazing took place March 1 while the team was on a tournament trip to Delta. Delta Police and Delta County District Attorney's office are investigating.
