Former Fruita Wildcat Turned CU Football Player Arrested

A former Fruita Monument Wildcat who went on to play tight end for CU has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Riar Geer has been booked into the Boulder County Jail for second degree assault and harassment.

The 21-year-old is accused of getting in a fight with two 19-year-olds late last night after a party.

Geer, a third year sophomore at CU, has been suspended from the team.

Geer was a standout football and basketball player for the Fruita Monument Wildcats.

This is the second time in as many days that a CU player has been arrested for assault.
