Saunders Field House could lose 18.4 million dollars by the end of the day Wednesday. Colorado Legislators were scheduled to meet Wednesday to debate the ammendments that would take the money from Mesa State and divert it to other projects.
An amendment from Rep. Paul Weissmann, D-Louisville would place the money into a maintenance trust fund. Rep. Joel Judd, D-Denver proposed a plan to take the money from Mesa State and use it at the Auraria Campus in Denver for a new science building.
Representative Steve King told 11 News he will fight both amendments.
