Two Grand Junction teens who pleaded guilty to attempted murder won't be going to prison; instead both were sentenced Monday to Youth Offender Services.
Thomas English, the 15-year-old guilty of pulling the trigger was sentenced to 7 years in YOS, which is basically a boot camp for juveniles. If he fails to complete that program he is facing 24 years in prison.
English’s accomplice, Erick Deleon received six years in YOS and will face 20 years in prison if he fails to complete that sentence. The sentencing was the result of a plea agreement.
