Philadelphia (AP) An admission by Hillary Clinton that Barack Obama can win in November marked the Democratic presidential candidates' debate last night.
And when Obama was asked if Clinton can win, he responded, “Absolutely.”
Clinton had previously declined to make a similar statement about him.
Both also said they'd respond forcefully if Iran used nuclear weapons on Israel and pledged not to raise taxes on people earning less than $200,000 a year.
They did get into a bit of a tussle over Social Security. Obama said he favored raising payroll taxes on higher-income individuals. And when Clinton said she opposed the proposal, Obama quickly countered that she had said earlier in the campaign she was open to the idea.
