Longmont, Colo. (AP) A woman has given birth in her car on the side of a highway south of Longmont with help from two state troopers and a sheriff's deputy.
The baby boy was born just after 9 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 287 about five miles from Longmont.
The state patrol says two troopers stopped when they saw the car and discovered a woman inside was in labor.
A Boulder county deputy arrived after the troopers called for assistance, and the three delivered the baby with help from the boulder county communications center.
The mother and child have been taken to a Longmont hospital. No names have been released.
