Wet Winter May Not Prevent Fire Season

A wet winter may leave people thinking that this fire season may not be as severe as years past but this year there's already been three wildfires and three deaths.

The moisture actually promotes growth in the spring leaving more to dry out in the hot summer months.

Fire officials say that it's too early to determine when burn season will come to an end. But it did end early the past two years.
