Patients who need radiation treatment to help treat cancer need a center where those services are offered. For residents in the Montrose-Delta area that has meant a drive to grand junction,
until now. The san juan cancer center is officially breaking ground Thursday in Montrose.
Even though there are some walls are already constructed the center is looking to raise a million dollars through fundraising efforts. That money will help the center get up and running.
The center is currently on schedule with construction and hopes to open in mid-April. The center is a joint partnership between Montrose Memorial Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and the San Juan Radiation Oncology Center.
