Amstetten, Austria (AP) Austrian authorities are checking for links between the murder of a young woman and the man accused of imprisoning his daughter for 24 years and fathering her children.

A senior law enforcement official says the unsolved 1986 murder occurred near a property owned by the incest suspect's wife. The local police chief says the suspect could have been nearby at the “time and place” of the teenager's death.

Authorities continue to release few details about Josef Fritzl, who they say has confessed to keeping his daughter captive since she was 18 and repeatedly raping her. They
Say she gave birth to seven children in the soundproof dungeon he'd designed.
