A 17 year old accused of shooting a Grand Junction man in the stomach was back in court Monday where he entered a plea.

Daniel Rachal pleaded guilty to charges of accessory to a crime in the October shooting of Jeremy Rosales.

Authorities say the shooting was a result of alleged gang activity.

As part of the plea deal, first degree attempted murder charges against Rachal were dropped.

He will be sentenced later this month.

Two other teens are also facing charges in the shooting of Rosales.
