Highway 6 between Loma and Mack is back open this noon after a crash involving an SUV and a Union Pacific utility truck.

A woman was carrying six kids in the SUV and says sparking flying from the railroad tracks next to the highway distracted her. Those sparks were part of a grinding operation being done on the tracks.

The woman ran into the back of the utility truck that was parked on the side of the road.
no one was hurt and we don't know if state patrol issued any tickets.

Traffic was blocked in both directions for about 45 minutes.
