High prices at the pump and at the grocery store have some people cutting back. In fact, the U.S. Postal Service says it may be the reason why they saw less donations this year during its food drive.

Over the weekend local postal customers donated 58,000 pounds of food to the annual Stamp Out Hunger Drive.

Postal workers say they are very grateful for the donations, but say the amount is down from last year.

All of the donated food will go to local charities and food banks.
