Local law enforcement agencies cracking down on underage drinking.11 News was there as they ran their latest sting operation.

With 11 New's cameras rolling, deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office nabbed 16 juveniles and one adult at a party in the desert.

The kids were ticketed for underage possession of alcohol, while the adult was cited for providing alcohol to minors.

Deputies say sting operations like this one are important when it comes to learning more about underage drinking.

The sting operation was paid for using grant money.
