In a four-to-one vote, the Fruita City Council appointed Bruce Bona to the council Tuesday night. The open seat came about because Ken Henry was elected mayor.

Bona and Bob Fuller were the two finalists. Fuller ran as a candidate in last months' election and finished fourth, but there were only three open seats.
