Backers of the Fruita Rec Center say they're not letting up in their fight.
They held a press conference Wednesday morning in Fruita.
The proposed sales tax increase failed by virtue of a tie vote.
But supporters say the Rec Center didn't pass because of misleading information from the opposition.
Supporter Tom Dodd says he plans to file complaints against two local groups, which both oppose the Rec Center, with the IRS and the
Secretary of State.
Dodd says he's now going to campaign throughout Fruita to get the Rec Center back on the November ballot.
The opposition stands firm that it doesn't want to raise taxes.
