A man who was out on bond lands back in jail after authorities say he tried to run from the Mesa County Courthouse.

Officials say 34-year-old David York was at the courthouse to attend a hearing when he began arguing with his bondsman about his bond being revoked. A sheriff's deputy was sent to escort the two men into the courtroom.

As they were entering the elevator, however, authorities say an angry York made a break for it.

He ran out of the courthouse and towards Weaver's Tavern, with deputies in pursuit. They say he managed to pry open two locked doors at Weavers when they finally caught up to him.

He was handcuffed and arrested on four charges including second degree burglary, which is a felony. York had been out on bond for two separate cases in which he faces 14 additional drug, weapon, and endangerment charges.
