Mesa County Commissioners met with Rum Bay owners to discuss renewing its liquor license Monday.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office shared concerns over renewing it because of the number and severity of calls they've received from the bar in the last six months. Bar owners say they've made great strides lately and that Rum Bay is not more dangerous of different than other bars in town.
No final decision has been made, but commissioners say they will probably renew the license as long as the bar meets specific stipulations.
Bar owners have two weeks to look over those stipulations.
Another hearing is scheduled for the end of this month.
