WETMORE, Colo. (AP) -- Wildfire managers say fires burning in the small southern Colorado town of Wetmore and in Rocky Mountain National Park are holding steady.

The 2,000-acre Wetmore Fire was reported Tuesday and is burning in grass and timber about 25 miles west of Pueblo. The fire has destroyed 14 houses and at one point 380 people were forced from their homes. Recent snowfall helped crews get the upper hand on the fire, which was 95 percent contained Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fern Lake Fire that was reported in Rocky Mountain National Park on Oct. 9 is holding steady at 1,000 acres and is 17 percent contained. A high-pressure system is expected to move through the area by mid-week, bringing warmer and drier conditions.

The cause of both fires is under investigation.
