The Grand Junction Fire Department is investigating two separate fires at the American Auto salvage yard. Firefighters were called to 425 Noland Avenue just after 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival they found a car on fire. Then almost exactly two hours later firefighters were called to the same location for a report of a pick-up truck and camper on fire. Department officials say no one was injured in either fire and both are considered suspicious in nature. Grand Junction police increased patrols around the salvage yard but so far there are no suspects in this case.
