A long–time member of the Mesa County Assessor's Office announces today he will run to replace term–limited Curtis Belcher.
Karl von Burg has worked with the Mesa County Assessor’s Office for eight years. Before that he spent four years on the Colorado State Board of Assessment Appeals. He says being a life-long resident of Mesa County gives him a unique perspective on growth in the Grand Valley,and he vows to continue the tradition of outstanding public service already seen in the assessor’s office.
Caucuses to determine who will be on the county ballot are held In April. The general election will be held next November.
