The City of Grand Junction hosted an open house Wednesday, to display the tentative plan to beautify Horizon Dr. at the Interstate–70 interchange.
The chosen design looks to entice passing motorists to make a stop in Grand Junction, implementing landscaping,
lighting and possibly artwork on the I–70 underpass, making it more pedestrian friendly.
The project is a part of City Council's idea to beautify gateway's into the city, and was set in motion by the Horizon Drive Business District.
The project will cost an estimated $750,000 to build, and will go out to bid early next year.
