The Grand Junction Police Department is trying to uncover why a woman claimed she was carjacked and kidnapped. Yesterday,
a 21 year old woman reported that she had been kidnapped and her car had been hijaked. She told police that a white male had forced his way into her car while it was stopped, and threatened her with a gun. She also said she was robbed,
blindfolded, and bound, and then dropped off in a north alley on 19th street. After investigating further into the incident,
police believe that the car jacking and kidnapping did not occur. The woman's name is not being released, and police are continuing the investigation into why the report was made in the first place. No charges have been filed at this time...
