Walker Field Airport in Grand Junction has enjoyed a successful holiday season, with a constantly full parking lot and many incoming or outgoing flights being booked.
While some travelers are making that trip home to once again focus on work and responsibility, others who had to work during Christmas are now finding the time to take off.
Delays at Walker Field Airport during the holiday season were reportedly few and on Christmas weekend alone, AAA predicted that more than 51-million people would drive to their destination,
3-million would travel by train or bus and nearly 9-million would take to the air.
