The La Plata County Sheriff's Office says they collected a variety of items during their latest search for Dylan Redwine. He's the teenage boy from Monument who disappeared in November while visiting his father in Vallecito.
The sheriff's office was searching for several days along a 12 mile stretch of U.S. Forest Service Middle Mountain Road. The sheriff's office won't say exactly what they found. They do say they need to conduct interviews and laboratory tests to determine if any of the items are pertinent to their investigation.
About 45 people spent five days searching in the area. The search was not based on any new tips, but was part of a series of follow-up searches in the Vallecito area since the snow melted.
Dylan flew to the Durango-La Plata County airport on November 18. His father Mark Redwine picked him up. The next day Dylan's mother reported him missing.
If you have any information about Dylan's disappearance, call the tip line at 970-382-7511 or the hotline for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE LOST (1-800-843-5678).
