On this new year's day, Mesa county welcomes its newest and tiniest resident. Tessa Lynn Jagger was born at 11:20 Sunday morning and is the first baby to be born in Mesa County in 2006.
Tessa weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 inches long at birth. Tessa is the fifth child between Gigi and Brent Jagger and the couple says they're in high spirits, and it's not only exciting to have a new child, but its an honor to have the first birth of 2006 in the county.
The Jaggers did also add that they were looking forward to some sleep after an exhausting day.
