The Mesa County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip Saturday morning that fugitive Jamie Burch was possibly at an address on Bookcliff Avenue in Fruitvale.
Once on scene, sheriff's office officials say a foot pursuit began as soon as Burch spotted Sheriff Deputy vehicles. The pursuit only lasted a couple of blocks and the suspect surrendered without incident on Villa Avenue. Burch was wanted on six warrants in Mesa County,
which include failure to appear, burglary and theft by receiving, the suspect has been booked at Mesa County Jail, and sheriff's officials add a deputy's vehicle sustained minor damage during the pursuit.
