Repairs will begin Monday on a part of I-70 that was damaged by a rock slide last weekend. On New Year's day a rockslide in Glenwood Canyon damaged the outer east bound lane on I-70 and it has been closed ever since. One of the boulders that fell punched a hole through the bridge deck.
CDOT got to work right away removing the debris and opening one lane of eastbound traffic, but the damaged lane will remain closed until early February when the repairs are expected to be complete.
