The man who jumped into the Colorado River Tuesday in an effort to elude authorities is released from the hospital
24–year–old Jesus Roberto Holguin was recognized by police as a fugitive when he tried to elude them after an alleged theft at a business on Orchard Mesa.
In an effort to get away he jumped off the 5th street bridge, however police captured him in the river.
Holguin is currently at the Mesa County Jail and faces charges of theft, resisting arrest, forgery for possessing false identification and criminal impersonation.
He also had nine warrants out for his arrest.
The driver of the vehicle carrying Holguin was also arrested, 18–year–old Rosalie Marie Herrera faces charges of theft and driving with a suspended license.
