A company in Grand Junction discovered a pipe carrying explosives was unaccounted for, now they're offering a reward for its return.
At around eleven o'clock this morning the Colorado State Patrol received a call from Mesa Wireline asking for state troopers to assist them in finding a 10 foot cylinder, containing explosive materials that could have fallen off one of their trucks.
It's believed the pipe fell somewhere between Grand Junction and Debeque. The Colorado State Patrol immediately started searching along interstate 70 but were unable to find anything.
The pipe is a silver color, 10 feet long and about three inches in diameter. Mesa Wirelines Attorney Greg Herrman says it would be impossible for someone to detonate the explosives accidentally. He says someone would have to use a blasting cap or explosive devise to activate it.
Mesa Wireline is offering a reward to anyone who has information leading to the return of this pipe. If you have any information contact your local law enforcement immediately.
