GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- It was a great way to end the weekend as thousands in the valley filled Lincoln Park to enjoy music under the stars.
The 21st annual Wells Fargo Evening Under the Stars took place tonight. Local musicians took the stage, starting with the Grand Junction Centennial Band and following with King N' Trio and the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
The famous 'Brats in the Park' cooked out at the venue and Enstrom Candies Ice Cream Trailer set up shop at the park with a portion of their sales supporting the symphony.
And KKCO's own Bernie Lange emceed the event.
"There are not a lot of towns our size that can actually support a fine orchestra and you can judge by the turnout; there are a couple thousand people here tonight. They're very popular here and it's an important part of the fabric of the community. It brings a lot of people together," said Lange.
Rob and Jenny Labig brought their children to the park for a family night out.
"We wanted to bring a picnic and listen to some great music," said Rob Labig.
