The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding a hit and run driver.
On November 16th, 69 year old Mackenzie Burnett was riding his bicycle westbound on Garfield County road 294, when he was hit from behind by a silver or gray passenger car. The driver of the car was described by witnesses as possibly hispanic.
After hitting Burnett, the driver yelled at the man who was lying in a ditch, incapacitated and visibly injured. The driver then sped away without offering help. The driver has not reported the crash, and is still at large. If you have any information about the crash,
or the driver's identity, contact the Colorado State Patrol.
