The National Ski Area Association and Powderhorn Resort are taking an aggressive approach to National Safety Awareness Week with activities scheduled throughout the seven day period. On Monday Powderhorn will host a "slow zone" ski run and offer free binding checks in the rental shop. Anyone who can recite the seven rules of the Responsibility Code will be entered into a drawing for a free season pass for next season. Powderhorn Ski Patrol will hold a backcountry awareness class on Thursday and Friday from 5:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. in the Daylodge.
