T wo day trash pick–up will soon be over for the city of Montrose
at the end of this month. Residential trash pick–up will change from a twice a week schedule to once a week in order to lessen the increase of sanitation rates. The decision was made in response to a city survey and people agreed that they would rather give up the extra day in order to cut costs.
The switch will also improve the efficiency of the city waste operations,
and in return, customers should not see a residential rate increase this year.
