More Than 100 People Gather In Grand Junction To Celebrate Martin Luther King Day


More than 100 grand valley residents gather to celebrate the life of man who changed the world with nonviolent actions. They brought signs and banners and marched their way to City Hall in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As they gathered at City Hall many sang songs of peace as community members spoke about diversity. Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech was recited and many reflected on his birth, life and dreams. The Martin Luther King Day Celebration was sponsored by Mesa State College's Americorps Project.
