As the Broncos gear up to play in their first AFC Championship Game since the late 90's grand valley residents are making their final preparations for game day. Supermarkets and liquor stores are flooded with excited fans today as they look for the perfect food and drink to accompany the big game.A manager at Fisher's Liquor Barn says the store has been consistently busy all day long with broncos fans stocking up for the championship game.
The store's most popular items have been beer and wine. And while they have sold some kegs it seems margaritas are the way to go for most. The folks over at City Market in the Eastgate Shopping Center are ready to help fans watch the game in comfort. Manager Rich Idler says the store is offering some hot deals in honor of the Broncos. A 12 pack of BIG-K pop is only a dollar, and when you buy a 24 pack of Pepsi you get a free bag of chips. Idler says since 11 this morning the store has seen a steady–stream of broncos fans and they've been ready. Idler says his most popular food items are chips and dip. Fans can take advantage of City Market's deals through tomorrow when the big game hits the air.
