It was a disappointing day for Broncos fans as they watched the Steelers clinch the AFC Championship shattering dreams of another Super Bowl appearance for Denver. Hundreds of thousands of Coloradans tuned into the game. Die hard fans say it was hard to stomach the four turn–overs the Broncos had. At half time the Steelers led 24 to 3. In the end the Broncos lost 34 to 17. Denver was the number two seed going in to today's game against the Steelers who were seeded sixth.
