Mesa State Students Celebrate Martin Luther King Day

Mesa State College Students were on Christmas break when the community clebrated Martin Luther King Day, so today they host their own celebration. Students gathered at the college's dining hall this afternoon to hear poetry, eat soul food, and dance the mamba. Event organizers say it's never too late to honor a man like King who taught the world about diversity. Tonight the community is invited to Liff Auditorium at 7 p–m to hear a presentation of "We Are Still Striving," a commemoration of the life, dreams and values of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
