Montrose County Commissioners and attorneys are investigating into claims made that a company adjacent to the Montrose Regional Airport is illegally selling fuel.
Only one company, Black Canyon Jet Center, has the contract to re–fuel aircraft at the airport. However Jetway Aviations has allegedly been over stepping their bounds. A hearing was called today to hear testimony about Jetway Aviations, but Jetway officials and legal council were unable to show, forcing a continuance.
The hearing has been postponed until February 17th, and if it is found that Jetway Aviation was in fact selling fuel when they were not contracted to do so, they may lose airport privileges altogether.
