Representative Bernie Buescher held a meet and greet at a local coffee shop in Palisade to listen to the concerns and questions from the people of Mesa County.
Buescher has been working on several different issues.
Friday, Governor Owens signed the first bill of the session, which was a bill carried by Representative Buescher. It involved allocating money to the LEAP program, to help low income families pay for their heating bills, as well as putting money towards winterizing the homes of needy families, to save in the long run.
Buescher also spoke about his plans to reinstate the senior citizen property tax exemption. This was part of the promise Buescher made to his voters when he asked for the passing of referendum C.
